Project Goals and Purpose

  • The programme provides medical assistance, education on disease prevention to low-income, ill-health patients in high-altitude areas with limited medical resources. The Programme established 204 stations across Qinghai, Tibet and Sichuan, benefitting as many as 210,000 patients with a total donation of RMB 26 million.
  • The medical aid programme promotes Buddhism and explores Tibetan medicine’s unique treatment methods, while also encouraging the ability to sustain long-term poverty alleviation among low-income ethnic minorities.
