“Decide Well, Spend
Wisely” Programme
(Two Phases)

Project Goals and Purpose

• One of “Decide Well, Spend Wisely”, co-organised by the Foundation and social welfare institutions, launched in 2016 and benefitted over 5,700 students. Students from rural areas of Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai, and Island Districts sitting for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) received a HK$5,000 gift cheque. The Programme was expanded to Tuen Mun District in 2017 and included over 9,320 DSE students who also received HK$5,000 gift cheques.
• The Foundation donated a total of HK$75 million in two phases, benefitting over 15,000 students. The Programme encouraged students to “Decide Well and Spend Wisely”, with the hope of helping to relieve pressure from the public examination.
