The programme provides medical assistance, education on disease prevention to low-income, ill-health patients in high-altitude areas with limited medical resources. The Programme helped 233 towns and villages across Qinghai, Tibet and Sichuan, benefitting as many as 220,000 service sessions with a total donation of RMB 30 million.
The medical aid programme promotes Buddhism and explores Tibetan medicine’s unique treatment methods, while also encouraging the ability to sustain long-term medical welfare model among low-income ethnic minorities.
