Project Goals and Purpose

• Female labour makes up 60% of the workforce in the rural areas of China, yet less than 1% of them take up a role in community welfare.
• Project Define aimed to strengthen women village officers’ learning capabilities, and build their abilities to serve the community, leveraging advanced technologies. The project strived to help villagers gain more government and social support, creating a ripple effect throughout the whole community.
• Project Define 2010 educated 4,304 women village officers. Project Define 2013 supported 4,652 female village officers and grassroots civil servants.
