LKSF philanthropy showcased in new China Charity Museum

(Jiangsu, 19 Sept 2016) The Li Ka Shing Foundation was invited to install an exhibition at the new China Charity Museum in Nantong. The installation was created using advanced multi-media technology to articulate the Foundation’s mission and its philanthropic work worldwide (please see video).

The China Charity Museum is the first themed museum developed jointly by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Jiangsu Provincial Government, and is considered to be the first national museum on charity.

The Museum was opened on 1 September, 2016. Located in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, the Museum was built on a site covering 26,546 sq. m., and has a total floor area of 24,858 sq. m. The total investment for the project was RMB 278 million. The exhibition space of 8,700 sq. m. is divided into six exhibition halls: history of charity in China; charitable organizations; philanthropists; Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan; overseas Chinese charity work; and contemporary charity work.
